Stuck in a job that feels like a dead end?
Daydreaming about career changes but paralyzed by the fear of failure?
You're not alone.
Many LEX professionals grapple with these anxieties.
SCHOOL DAZED
Althroughout school, test days were an absolute nightmare.
No matter how much I crammed, a sense of doom hung heavy.
The hours spent studying felt pointless and my anxiety was crippling, making it impossible to focus.
I'd get caught in a loop of self-doubt: "Why am I so clueless? This made sense yesterday but not today. Why not just quit instead?"
This internal battle, coupled with being mocked by test questions & worded problems, left me frustrated and defeated in an endless cycle that lasted years.
TAKE THIS JOB AND LOVE IT
Fast forward to my adulthood and work life.
That same school-day frustration reared its ugly head again.
Stuck in a series of dead-end jobs for over a decade, the fear of failure held me back.
Job postings that sparked excitement would just as quickly be shut down:
"Remember those tests? Studied hard, still failed. What if this new job is the same?" The fear of repeating past "failures" (real or perceived) kept me paralyzed.
USE YOUR INSIDE VOICE
Thankfully, things changed. I started making my own luck by focusing on my "zone of power" - my strengths, passions, and goals.
And yes, there are still moments of worry - I'm no Superman.
But a new voice has emerged - "Your ambitions are bigger than your fear."
TODAY'S TAKEAWAY IS TOMORROW'S TRIUMPH
My school-day struggles were a cautionary tale, but not a life sentence.
Use my mistakes as a springboard, not a roadblock.
Don't let the fear of failure stop you before you even start.
Truth be told bro, sis - the path to your ideal job involves stumbles, firings, and more than a few "WTF was I thinking" moments?
But..... staying still and staying stuck guarantees zero progress.

Short power-ups to remind you of who you are and all that you can do.
